Beth Aker

Executive Director

Having met clients needs head on, either in Corporate America or the private sector, Beth brings with her a tenacity to serve. She saw firsthand what it meant to having an ill family member remain at home as long as possible. It is Meals on Wheels focus and priority to provide a hot nutritious meal to the homebound, elderly, disabled and isolated. “When we serve them where they live, lives are changed.”

Beth comes from Plymouth Indiana and moved to Florida in 2006. She married Jeff Aker in 1985 and together they have raised 3 beautiful daughters, Spencer Elizabeth, Leihana and Natalie. She devotes her time to her family, her friends and her community.

Cathy is the Board President of Meals on Wheels and comes to the board with a wealth of knowledge and a strong desire to serve her community. She enjoys using her talents on projects including community networking, volunteer management, and program development. Most importantly to Cathy, she truly enjoys serving her community and helping all those in need.

Recently retired RN and currently the program director for the Feed the Kids summer feeding program at Elks Lodge #2731, past Exalted Ruler and Trustee.

Have volunteered as a delivery driver for EPMOW for 2 years and have worked closely with EPMOW for several years for the Elks Lodge Feed the Kids program. I have a firm belief that no one in this country should ever be hungry which is why I am honored to be on the EPMOW Board of Directors and am totally committed to the mission. For me, this is a very important service for older adults who are in need of nutritious meals.

Donna has several interests including making craft projects and has been very active in the Elks for the past 8 years.

Nancy Pepper

Treasurer

Nancy is the Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Risk Officer, First National Bank of Pasco brings with her, not only a wealth of knowledge but, the wisdom to recognize and deter obstacles that may influence the health of our organization. Nancy is looking forward to her impending retirement, so that she can devote her time to her many interests. She is the current Treasurer of MOW and has been with us since 2019.

Barbara Erdmann

Board Member

After retiring from the pet world where Barb worked as a groomer, she began another purpose; volunteering as a driver for Meals on Wheels. After a health scare while on her route, she now just serves as the Secretary for the Board where she has been a member for over 10 years.

Diane Rieth

Board Member

AdventHealth Zephyrhills

Diane Reith, RN, BBA, MS is currently serving as a board member for the East Pasco Meals on Wheels organization. She is also employed by AdventHealth Zephyrhills as the Director of Case Management. Diane is a native of Pittsburgh, PA who has been a Florida resident for the past ten years.

Diane is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry including professional experience in the fields of Healthcare Quality Management, Case/Utilization Management, Risk Management, Infection Control, and Medical Staff Services. Diane also served as a Senior Management Engineer in a multi-facility healthcare system.

Diane earned her Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. She also holds a Bachelors of Business degree from Athens University.

She is certified by the National Board of Case Management and holds professional certifications in the areas of Healthcare Quality, Medical Staff Management, and Medical Staff Credentialing.

Diane is passionate about serving the community and meeting the needs of our senior members.

Vincent Ellis

Board Member

Vincent Ellis is one of our newly elected board members but has made an impact in his short time with Meals on Wheels.  Since joining the board, Vincent has led may initiatives in the community such as an community food drive and shred event.  Vincent’s passion comes from the ability to help others and provide assistance to seniors for Medicare options.  Vincent loves to spend time with family when he is not working.  He enjoys fishing, traveling, and cooking which is his favorite past time.  Originally from Fayetteville, NC, Vincent has a undergraduate degree in Political Science with an MBA with concentration in Project Management. 

John Raab

Board Member

John joined Meals as a Board member in 2020 and has been a volunteer since 2017. He is a retired superintendent and brings with him over 30+ years’ experience in education. His passion for Meals on Wheels is unmatched and he enjoys the relationships that develop from serving others. John comes to us from Michigan and is a big Detroit Lions fan.

Andrea Vogel

Board Member

Andrea started her career at Advent Health Hospital (previously Florida Hospital) in 2004 as a floor nurse and now serves the hospital as the Director of Quality and Patient Safety. Her focus of performance improvement and patient care, lends expertise to the direction and quality Meals on Wheels strives for. Andrea joined the Meals Board in 2021 and is an integral part of the relationship between the hospital and us. Together, we strive to make the care of our community, our priority.

Kara Hardin

Board Member

Kara Hardin P.L., Attorney at Law received her Juris Doctor in July of 2001 from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Fl. and now sits on the MOW Board of Directors. She brings with her a passion for caring for the future of others by making sure that family and loved ones are protected.

Kara’s desire to share that with MOW, makes her a perfect fit for our organization. She and her family make their home, here in Zephyrhills.

Ernie Smith

Board Member

Ernie owned and operated his own roofing company for 32 years in Indiana. He is married, an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He has been a volunteer at Meals since 2018, driving our longest route, every day and joined the Board in 2020. He has been a long standing member and past Quartermaster of the VFW Post 8154, where together their constant support and contributions impact lives.

Marcie Baker

Board Member

Born in South Bend Indiana, Marcie travelled extensively and ended up in Zephyrhills, Florida where she established The Law Office of Marcie L. Baker, Esq, P.A in January of 2013.

Marcie is an active member of: the Florida Bar; the United States Middle District of Florida; the United States Southern District of Florida; Tampa Bay Workers’ Compensation American Inns of Court; the East Pasco Florida Bar Association; Florida Association of Women Lawyers; Next Gen Divorce; and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. (IACP).

Marcie became an active Board member in 2020 and is very active in the growth and development of the organization. It is with her legal expertise and passion for Meals on Wheels that she leads with
vision.

Rodney Rehrig

Board Member Emeritus

Past commandant of the Marine Corps League who spends all his time volunteering for the community and loves being on the Meals on Wheels board. He focuses on the elderly and those that have served our beloved country. Has been a board member for over 4 years.
