Our wholesome meals are cooked and assembled with care by our dedicated team of volunteers utilizing the best ingredients from weekly community donations.
Services are available to Pasco County residents who are homebound—meaning they have difficulty leaving their home and are challenged to prepare their own meals. This includes seniors, those with disabilities, and individuals who are malnourished, have just left the hospital, or are otherwise unable to cook.
Meals On Wheels of Pasco does not have a waiting list. New recipients can typically begin meal service within 1-2 business days of signing up.

We begin packing all meals at 10:00 AM. You can generally anticipate your delivery to arrive between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. This window can vary based on your location and the specific route our drivers take. We appreciate your patience, as unforeseen circumstances may sometimes lead to minor delays.
Your lunchtime meal is delivered by our team of incredibly dedicated volunteers, all of whom are trained and background-checked. Their friendly visits are an essential part of the service. Please know that our volunteers generously donate their personal time, vehicle, and gas to make these weekday deliveries possible. They are truly the heart and soul of our ability to serve over 600 meals weekly in the community.
We currently deliver over 600 nutritious meals weekly —over 36,000 meals a year.
Your safety is our top priority. We require an emergency contact for situations where our delivery staff arrives and you do not answer the door. We will call the designated contact to quickly confirm your well-being, ensuring you are safe and accounted for.
Our service is more than a meal—it also provides a daily safety check.
Our trained volunteers are instructed to report any immediate concerns about your well-being or absence to our office. If you appear unwell or do not answer the door, our driver or our office will first attempt to call you directly, and if unsuccessful, we will call your designated emergency contact. If we cannot reach you or an emergency contact, we will escalate the concern by requesting a police wellness check.
Emergency personnel are authorized to enter your home if signs lead them to believe you are inside and may be injured or ill. If a volunteer observes a situation requiring immediate assistance upon arrival, they will bypass the office and call 911 directly, and the office will then notify one of your emergency contacts.
To help us ensure your safety and avoid unnecessary checks, please make sure your client information and emergency contact numbers are always kept current.
Yes! Our volunteers are happy to assist you. They can bring your meal directly inside, whether you'd like it set up on your table or placed immediately into your refrigerator. Just let your driver know what is most helpful for you.
If you are unable to reach the door when your meal arrives, the volunteer driver will first knock or ring the doorbell several times. Should they receive no answer, the driver will then attempt to call your contact phone number to notify you that they are waiting with your meal. If this call also goes unanswered, the driver will leave a "Sorry we missed you note" at your door; please note that meals will not be left unattended outside.
To ensure you receive your meal even if you can't get to the door immediately, you have the option to leave a clean, sanitized cooler outside. The driver will place your meal inside the cooler.
Our office is closed on the following six holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
We maintain a modified delivery schedule to ensure you receive your meals during the holidays.
Meals for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day will be delivered on the holiday itself. The only exception is if Christmas falls on a weekend; in that case, the meal will be delivered on the preceding weekday (usually Friday).
For all other listed holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day), your meal will be delivered on the day prior to the holiday.
Meals On Wheels may cancel delivery if the weather is hazardous. Staff will call to notify recipients if service is canceled for that day.
